INTERIM HEAD COACH: Kim Offutt

Kim Offutt received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Loyola in 2004. She is currently working toward her J.D. at Loyola University School of Law. During her swimming career, Kim was a top 16 qualifier in multiple events. Kim swam for Loyola until she graduated in 2004. She also worked with children as a swim instructor at the Elmwood Sharks Swim School for years before officially joining the coaching staff in 2006. Kim is currently the Interim Head Coach for the Sharks. Since Kim joined the staff, the age group team has continued to grow in size and ability.

ASSISTANT AGE GROUP COACH: Mandy Leach
Originally from Zimbabwe, Mandy represented her country for 13years as a national swimmer competing in international swim meets including 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and All Africa Games. During her four years as a member of the Louisiana State University Swimming & Diving Team, she was a 3 time All American, team captain and is a current LSU record holder. She graduated from LSU earning a B.S. in K-12: Health and P.E. and a M.S. in Sports Management and went on to design and implement both youth and adult fitness programs and camps. She has coached a variety of swimming programs including state champion and runner up high school swim teams and masters.

ASSISTANT AGE GROUP COACH: DD. McCord

Coach D.D. is the newest addition to the Elmwood Sharks coaching staff. She will be the main coach for the Pups group. Coach D.D. brings many years of experience to our swim team. She swam competitively as a member of the Elmwood Sharks as well as working with our swim lesson program from 1999-2004. D.D received her B.S. from the University of Mississippi in 2008. In addition, she received her Masters of Science in Public Health from Tulane University in 2011. We are all very excited to welcome Coach D.D. to our coaching staff and look forward to the many improvements to come!

Christina Offutt is the Aquatics Director for the Elmwood Sharks Swim Team and Swim Lesson Program. She has been in this position for the past five years. In that time, she has grown both the swim team and swim lesson programs. She has a BA in History from the University of New Orleans and a MA in Public History from the University of New Orleans.
